Our Mission and Vision
OSTA’s mission and vision is to serve animals, build a sustainable community, and deepen the bond between humans and animals.
1. Serving Animals
OSTA embodies a sense of service towards animals, embodying their viewpoint. Our goal is to represent specific animal populations, akin to how human populations are represented by their political figures. We are dedicated to enhancing their lives through a range of initiatives that marry both material and spiritual components.
How do we achieve this?
Insights into the Perspective of Animals
Animal Landscapes, our central hub of exploration, relies on four pillars as a blueprint for understanding the viewpoints of animals.
- The Animal Aspirations charter serves as the foundation, outlining animals’ desires from humans.
- The Animal Populations section within Animal Horizons explores factors affecting animal happiness and challenges that cross their boundaries.
- The Animal Atlas offers various perspectives on the animal world, including scientific, legal, and spiritual views.
- Animal Expeditions includes initiatives by individuals and organizations that serve animals and the development of animal stories.
Activities to Support Animals
OSTA develops various activities to support animals:
- Flemish, Brussels and Walloon animal population mapping.
- Animal events: to deepen insight into specific animal populations.
- Platform for animal initiatives: with high ethical/spiritual standards.
- Adventure nature outings for dogs.

3. Deepening Human-Animal Connections
OSTA works to reinforce the bond between humans and animals.
So, how do we accomplish this?
Animal Events
By organizing events at a variety of animal-oriented venues, like sanctuaries, refuges, and wildlife parks. Additionally, we organize group walks for dogs and their owners.These gatherings aim to promote community bonding and facilitate meaningful interactions with animals.
Healing Activities
We offer healing activities for both animals and humans. Yoga, meditation and other healing activities are indeed an essential part of our mission. Through these, we strive for a deeper connection between humans and animals.
